    2008 World Mind Sport Games

    World Transnational Mixed Teams Championship

Teams must consist of two or three Mixed Pairs playing in partnership. This is not a national event so players from different countries may play together

It is expected that the Mixed Teams will start on Sunday 12th or Monday 13th October (depending on the number of teams entering). The format will depend on the final number of entries, but is likely to be Swiss type, with a KO stage being played in order to determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists. The Bronze Medal will be awarded to the losing semi-finalist higher placed in the Swiss ranking.

Players must be members in good standing of their National Bridge Organisation which must, in turn, be a paid-up member of the World Bridge Federation. Teams should contact their NBO or NBOs and request nomination to play in the Mixed Teams Championship. They must complete the necessary ID forms etc (click on FAQ for more information)

There is no quota restriction for this exciting and challenging Championship and NBOs may nominate as many teams as they wish.

Note that this event will not be included in the medal roll of the of the World Mind Sports Games, although medals will be awarded by the World Bridge Federation as normal.
