Mailing List
I have started an information mailing list for the Mind Sport Games. If you have NOT received any emails from me, but would like to be on the list, please email me, tell me your name, which country you are from and that you would like to be added to the list and then you will receive all future information.
Beijing 2008 will be the venue for the first World Mind Sports Games (WMSG). These games will be held under the aegis of IMSA (the International Mind Sports Association) and will consist of Bridge, Chess, Go and Draughts (and also Chinese Chess in Beijing)
The Games will be held in a major Convention Centre, and may also utilize space within the Olympic Complex.
The Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday 3rd October (probably in the early evening) and the Closing Ceremony will be on Saturday 18th October.
At the World Mind Sports Games, all youth competitors will be offered free room and board in the media village apartments to encourage participation, and we hope also to offer free accommodation to some women's teams provided that their NBO sends at least one Youth Pair to compete in the WMSG in Beijing.
Click here for more information about hotels & accommodation.
It is also possible that reduced or even free air fares may be available; more information about this will be published as soon as it is available.
